Mr Brier you were a great man, so many people I know are greatly saddened by your sudden death. You touched and effected so many peoples lives as this group shows. I hope you are looking down and taking care of your family at this sad time. I also hope that this memorial group helps them as they can read all the great comments and memories people have left about you. Some of my best and happiest memories are from Ripponden J&I School. i was devastated to hear about what had happened, you taught me in school an dyou were a brilliant teacher, always getting involved and making us laugh, you made school fun and when i left it you it was so sad. Yes we were all in your office at one point but then the next day you would be joking with us again! i am so sad that you have left us and there will never be anyone like you, i hope that you had a happy life.At any sporting event you were always there tocheer us on.Our sports teams excelled thanks to you , also thanks to you and your school i excelled in my exams and had a brilliant school life, i wish i never had to leave. God bless you and rest in peace Mr Brier.

So very sorry to hear of this untimely loss. Dave was an inspiration to so many children in the local area, and was loved so much by the pupil of the school. My thoughts are with his family, friends, colleagues and pupils.....I am sure that there will be a real void for them and I hope they draw strength from each other to get through this.
May Dave rest in peace, and watch over those his loves.
